Dear Mr. Panikkar,
 
I really appreciate your good efforts. And the members now start observing your style to correct their English language. You are even very particular about the capital E in English, when such cases are allowed in e-mails. Now I have to clear some doubts from your mail.
 
(a) Earlier I was criticised.............when I have sent a similar mail earlier.
here when I had sent is the correct usage.
(b) Most of our present day writers are educated........
here were educated is correct. (see also your correct usage: Kamala Surayya, Tharoor etc were educated..)
 
(c) But it is not the education.............
here that clause is missing. But it is not the education which you get from school or colleges that only matters.
 
(d) Same is about Basheer or ........
here same was is correct usage. or (Neither Basheer nor K.T. Mohamed had it as well.)
 
(e) So what all we try to learn ourselves is also matters.........
I re write the sentence: So, what we all try to learn ourselves also matters a lot in life rather than what we learn.....
 
(f) Due to the number of mails does not give the effect you have imagined.
Due to a large numbers of mails or vast numbers of mails is more appropriate.
 
(g) Only Malayalam weekily I read is Bhashaposhini now a days though.......

(i) Generally I do not react, to small mistakes are made by my fellow members....

I think you have to find some more time to read good mails in this group. I have noticed many members using correct English.

Thanks. Earlier also I was criticised by some body and also was supported by many others when I have sent   a  similar mail  earlier.
 
But I find that   the   standard of English in Kerala  schools and colleges  has gone down  pathetically.  Most of our  present day writers in English are educated out side Kerala, though not all. (We did have  O.V Vijayan ,  DrAyyappa   Paniker  etc). DrPaniker was from a village school of Kavalam and  Pulinkunoo (Kuttanad) and did his post graduation from Farook college. But Kamala  Surayya ,Tharoor etc were educated outside  Kerala.The great man  Sardar K.MPanikkar after his education in Thalavady school and  Kottayam CMSCollege  went to Oxford  for further education.  But it is not the education that you get in school or colleges only matters.
 
VPMenon who became governor of Orissa and author of the  beautiful  book "Integration of Indian states" hardly had any good schooling. Same is about Basheer or K.T.Muhammad.  Even the short story writer Gauthaman(Menon)  is not a graduate I think. He was working in Rourkela steel plant. But he wrote a good number of   wonderful short stories for us to read and enjoy. So what all we try to learn ourselves is also matters a lot in life  than what we learn in our schools  or colleges.
 
Due to the number of mails in this group I do not read most of the mails also.But I do try to read poems and short stories by some very talented young people  like MrSabu(Devi  Kerala).I write to him personally some times and I am surprised that he accepts my criticisms  also.It is great!!

Only Malayalam weekly I read is Bhashaposhini now a days though I read the net editions of some Malayalam news papers when I get time.
 
Generally I do not react, to  small mistakes are made  by  my fellow members.I too make mistakes when I am writing in a hurry.Some times some spelling mistakes creep in when we type in a hurry also.
But my point is people should try to learn  and should try to correct oneself.

I really appreciate your effort to comment on his mail. But as per my experiences, we can not predict how would he react according to your mail. I got several bad experiences by criticizing this kind of poor english. I m not saying that I am perfect in english. Very few percentage of persons will only admit their mistakes.
 
By your this comment, I learnt a new phrase as follows,

"Any body knows her "or   "any body has knowledge about her " .
