you are right, there will be a labour ban of 6 months if you cancel your current workpermit/visa. this can be lifted if you pay some amount (ranging from Dhs. 1,500 graduate/post graduate to Dhs. 5,000/- under graduate etc.) but NOC from the current employer is a must since you have not completed one contract of 3 years.

I started my work on 5th April 2008
But that time they dont have trade licence.
Untill December 2008 we worked under the visit visa.
Time to time they send to Kish and they provided visit visa.
I signed the offer letter on13th January 2008 to start the work on 1st March 2008.
December 2008 i got the residence visa and then after only i know the visa is under labour card.
Yesterday i finshed exact two years from the joined date.
I just want to move other hotel
I heard under the labour visa is not allowed to move .
There is an automatic ban for 6 months.
But my hotel is ready to provide N.O.C.
If they provide N.O.C my new hotel want to pay some money to labour.
If you know about this subject please help me.
