March 22, 2010Dear Sirs,
I am writing this letter to request for financial aid for my children's operation in India, at BABY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL in CALICUT. My wife delivered twins (a boy and a girl) during the 6th month of confinement. Unfortunately, both children were born blind due to premature delivery. The elder boy is active, but blind and undergoing medical treatment. The younger girl is also blind and having problems in hearing as well as weakness in the back muscle. As a result, she is not strong enough to sit or walk. She is also under medical treatment for the last one and half years and is currently undergoing physiotherapy. Unfortunately, she has to undergo an emergency operation which costs Indian Rupees 9.5 lakhs. Quite honestly, I do not have sufficient funds for this operation and therefore, I am requesting for financial support from well wishers.
The consultant doctor has advised to carry out the operation in the first week of April and I am going back to India this coming Friday to arranging the needful preparations. Some of my friends have given word to support me with whatever small contribution they can do to meet the expenses of the operation as early as possible.
In light of the above, I humbly request all the generous & kind hearted people to support me in this regard with whatever you can contribute at this crucial time. I would also personally like to request everyone for their good wishes and prayers for the speedy recovery of my twins.
