Identity Card for Non-Resident Keralites(NRKs)
Government is all set to fulfill the long cherished dream of Non-Resident Keralites by taking the decision to issue Photo Identity Card to NRKs. Three types of Cards are planned for issuing among NRKs Abroad, in other states in India and those who are returned from Abroad. As first phase, it has been decided to begin the programme by issuing Photo Identity card to NRKs now residing/working abroad. Application form and guidelines will be published shortly.
Why NRK Identity Card?
As an identity to Non-Resident Keralites
Insurance coverage for all identity card holders
Can be used as discount card for purchases from selected shops/establishments
Will be selected for joining the proposed Welfare Fund for NRKs

Request to Shopkeepers/Service providers
Government have decided to implement the Pravasi Identity Card with an added facility of Discount Card. Leading shopkeepers and service providers in Kerala, who are interested to offer discount to the NRK ID Card holders, are requested to register their details with Norka-Roots. The Name and Address of the selected shopkeepers/service providers, who offer discount to NRK ID cardholders, will be made available to the NRKs in printed format and also through our websites www.norka.gov.in & www.norkaroots.net. The NRKs visiting the listed shops/establishments will bring their unique NRK ID Cards.
