Now our country should start a campaign to reduce the consumption of petrol.  Just for example, if our folks decide to go to the market only once in week, instead of almost daily now, our households can save a considerable quantity of petrol in their car. Imagin, if the whole country folks do this, what would be the effect. 
 
In fact, other than the regular commutation between workplace and home, people can reduce their outing,if they plan for it. Young people are wasting national wealth by burning petrol in their motorbikes. Imagin the effect on petrol consumption, if the young Indians are using their motorbikes prudently.  
 
The Government is not going to start any such campaign, since such campain will reduce their direct income by way of taxes. They do not consider the national savings by reducing the oil import.
 
If there is a will, there is a way.  If the whole world reduce the use of petrol by prudential use of it, the oil price will automaticaly come down.
