hello all,
this is in ref to the case of psoriasis of 7.5 yr old child.
first of all confirm wether it is psoriasis itself or atopic eczema because it is more common in this age group.if psoriasis is confirmed by a specialist doctor(ayurveda-
its a disease in which the etiology is unknown. some of the causes for flare ups are UV rays of sunlight, beta hemolytic streptococcal infection of throat, trauma, emotional stress,anxiety, certain medicines like beta blockers, anti malarials,lithium etc.
in ayurveda the dosha predominence is also assessed to decide the treatment. it need a long term treatment, but has good result. its very rare to get complete cure by short term treatments in a well confirmed case of psoriasis. may need to take medicines, do certain external treatments too.also there are medicines like thuvaraka thaila which is given as shodhana,but cant be given in small children.
just i wanted to tell u that there r treatment for psoriasis and dont ignore it. first get a good diagnosis, then decide treatment.
